James Taylor's Bassist Lee Sklar with Editor In Chief of Bass Frontiers Dave Fowler

We all know Lee Sklar, James Taylor’s bassist, Phil Collins’ bassist, Toto’s bassist, the list could go on and on. If you haven’t heard of him (I’ve heard that under a rock is a great place to live in this economic climate), you’ve heard him play. Actually, you’ve probably copied one or more of his bass lines in however short or long you’ve been playing the bass. It’s only in the interest of your screen space that I don’t list all of the artists he’s played for, but here are a few: James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, Phil Collins, Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Hall & Oates, Lyle Lovett, Toto……….you’re starting to get it, aren’t you? It’s been so exciting to listen to Lee come up with the best bass lines on the radio over the years, and it was such an honor to have him sit down and talk with us about all the great parts of his life and career. We are very, very excited to get to share it with you!
