MAKING OF Video: Streamer LX – Angel Step Maple Top Special Burst HP
From raw wood to finished instruments: In our MAKING OF videos we show the production of Warwick
Masterbuilt basses at the Custom Shop in Markneukirchen / Germany.
Today, our MAKING OF video shows the creation of a “heavenly” Custom Shop masterpiece: a Warwick Master built Streamer LX 4-string with Angel Step Maple Top and Special Bleached Blueburst High Polish Finish. The spectacular Angel Step Maple top wood forms a great contrast to the curved body back made of intensely grained Coloured Flamed Maple. Angel Step Maple is also used for the matching headstock, while the enchanting Special Bleached Blueburst High Polish Finish decorates both the front and back and the headstock of this particular Warwick Streamer LX.
The bolt-on neck consists of three stripes of Wenge; 24 extra-hard jumbo bronze frets are precisely set into the Tigerstripe Ebony fingerboard with IFT (Invisible Fretwork Technology). Further contrasts are provided by illuminated fingerboard side dots and an illuminated “W” logo on the head stock.
Active MEC P/J pickups are used in combination with active Warwick 2-way electronics. The integrated lithium battery can be recharged via USB cable without having to unscrew the wooden cover. Other hardware details include: Just-A-Nut III brass nut, 2-piece solid Warwick brass bridge, chrome hardware and Warwick Security Locks.
A handmade leather RockBag® is included.
Musically, this MAKING OF video is underlined by Tetsou Sakurai and his tune ‘Sailing Alone’.
