2009 marks Ernie Ball’s 25th year of manufacturing the line of world-renowned Music Man instruments. Ernie Ball, Inc. originally purchased Music Man’s remaining assets from Tom Walker in 1984 and quickly began building and developing cutting-edge instrument and electronic designs that would pace the industry for the next quarter of a century.

The Music Man 25th Anniversary bass features an ash body with maple top, dramatic styling, and state-of-the-art electronics. Exhibiting form and function first, this new anniversary bass offers a wide array of distinctive sounds. Utilizing an innovative push button 4-band EQ system, active, passive and series/ parallel modes can be combined together, creating endless tonal combinations not found on any other other production instrument. Customize and color your tonal options like never before!

Our Music Man engineers have long placed a high importance on ergonomics for optimal weight and balance points, making this instrument very comfortable to play. The 25th anniversary bass offers a classic bolt-on design, custom-contoured armrest with binding, and mahogany tone block providing maximum resonance and massive low end. Available in 4- and 5-string versions with single humbucking, dual humbucking and humbucking/single coil options.

Music Man Big Al Bass Guitar

The Big AL bass offers three single-coil pickups with neodymium magnets for optimum punch and clarity. Utilizing an innovative 4-band push button active or passive EQ system, this bass can create many tonal combinations not found on any other other production instrument. The Big AL bass offers a classic bolt-on design, similar in style and shape to the Albert Lee signature guitar, combining an ash body with a 22-fret maple neck and 34″ scale.
