Review: Hal Leonard’s Henry Mancini 10 Classic Tunes Volume 154

Many are familiar with Henry Mancini’s tunes. As a matter of fact, I don’t know anyone that isn’t familiar with “Moon River”, “Peter Gunn”, or “The Pink Panther”. This jazz play-along also contains other great tunes such as “Baby Elephant Walk”, Charade”, “Days of Wine and Roses”, “Dear Heart”, “Mr. Lucky”, “Moment to Moment”, and “The Sweetheart Tree”.

Arranged and produced by Mark Taylor, Henry Mancini’s 10 classic tunes book/cd release is for Bb, Eb, C, and bass clef instruments. The index guides you right to the page you need to be on for each tune depending on instrument. Notation for the melody and chord charts are spot on for each tune. The cd is split track for melody only for us bass folk, and full stereo track for playing the melody and soloing. Notation for the melody and chord charts are spot on for each tune.
