Music City’s acclaimed Ryman Auditorium and financial services leader, SunTrust Bank, have entered into a multi-year partnership agreement making SunTrust an Official Partner of the Ryman. As official partners, SunTrust and the Ryman will engage in cross promotional activities on site and through various media platforms. The new partnership is effective immediately.
“Partnering with SunTrust is a great fit for the Ryman,” said Sally Williams, Ryman Auditorium General Manager. “As financial leaders in the music industry, their clients include many of the artists who perform on the Ryman stage. More broadly, the support they provide to the industry as a whole has a positive impact throughout our community”.
For more than 25 years, SunTrust has been a leader in providing financial services for the music industry. In 1990, SunTrust was the first bank to open a full-service branch on Nashville’s Music Row now led by managing director, Andrew Kintz, and named for its founder – The Brian Williams Music Row Financial Center. Today, SunTrust provides financial services to a wide variety of music businesses and artists of every musical genre, as well as actors and athletes through its Sports and Entertainment Specialty Group.
“SunTrust is pleased to partner with such a respected, well-known venue in the music industry,” said Kintz. “Our clients and friends have a unique attachment to the Ryman for its incredible historical and current significance in our industry. We’ve been part of the music community for so long, it was a natural fit. We look forward to bringing our combined efforts to benefit our neighbors and the community.”
SunTrust provides support to the music industry through many organizations including: Academy of Country Music (ACM), Americana Music Association, Country Music Association (CMA), Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Gospel Music Association, SOLID, SOURCE, ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, The Recording Academy (NARAS), Country Radio Broadcasters (CRB), Nashville Musicians Association, WO Smith Music School, Songs for Sound, SXSW, Hip Hop for Humanity, International Bluegrass Music Association, Leadership Music, Nashville Screenwriters Conference, Nashville Songwriters Association International and others.

The National Historic Landmark holds the current titles of Pollstar Theatre of the Year, SRO Venue of the Year Presented by CMA and ACM Venue of the Year. This marks the third year in a row that the Ryman has been honored as Pollstar’s Theatre of the Year. The venue was recently ranked 21st domestically and 32nd internationally on the 2013 Pollstar Mid-Year Worldwide Ticket Sales Top 100 Theatre Venues Chart.
In addition to setting records during its nighttime concert business, the Ryman’s daytime tourism business is seeing unprecedented numbers of visitors this year. At the mid-year mark, the daytime tour had broken year-to-date attendance records. Leading tourism website Trip Advisor recently awarded their Certificate of Excellence to the Ryman.
