30 years of Warwick – 30 years of innovation, precision and a great love for detail! On September 8th 2012 the entire Warwick family will come together in Markneukirchen. Everyone is welcome to join and celebrate this day together with us.
At 9:00 am the doors of the company will open, allowing some insight into the most modern production facility in the manufacture of musical instruments. Experience first-hand how Warwick basses and Framus guitars arise – from the storage of our highest-grade tonewoods, to the synergistic blend of traditional hand-craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technology used to create our instruments.
Explore our in-house finishing department, which utilizes environmentally friendly and quick drying water-based lacquers, cured by UV light – A completely unique procedure in the musical instrument industry. Discover for yourself our strict adherence to the highest possible standards when it comes to eco-friendliness and conservation of natural resources.
You can register in advance for a factory tour. For that, please send us an email with your full name, place of residence, and the number of people taking part to: firstname.lastname@example.org. On September 8th 2012 simply announce yourself at the reception for preferred entry to the factory tour, which means little to no waiting times.
Naturally, in the case of an anniversary in the music business, a musical program must not be missed! Experience live on stage Divinity Roxx with “The Roxx Boxx Experience” (www.divinityroxx.com), JoStLe (Jonas Hellborg, Steve Bailey and Lee Sklar) with Chester Thompson on the drums, T.M. Stevens & King Shocka and the Zooloo Tribe (www.tmstevens.com), the acoustic trio Duff Boyz (www.duffboyz.de) from Cologne, and many other perfomances by Warwick and Framus artists from all over the world.
In addition to the above-mentioned artists, many of our endorsees have also announced their attendance: Robert Trujillo (Metallica), Adam Clayton (U2), Verdine White (Earth, Wind & Fire), Bootsy Collins, Larry Graham, Earl Slick, Mike Inez, Blackbyrd McKnight, Alphonso Johnson, Hansford Rowe, Dave Roe, T.M. Stevens, Jacki Reznicek, John B. Williams, Antonella Mazza, Norwood Fisher, Andy Irvine, Regi Wooten, Mordy Ferber, Jean-Paul Bourelly and Wolf Hoffmann.
These artists will be available to our visitors for meet & greets, and we expect to add more musicians to the lineup in the next few weeks. We’ll provide for your physical well-being with barbecue and drinks, and for the youngsters we will have a children’s corner with a bouncy castle and many more playing opportunities.
After your factory tour, experience the Warwick & Framus Custom Shop. With over 200 guitars and basses on exhibit – it will captivate you. Try your favorite instrument while you’re with us and become a part of our big Warwick and Framus family! Additionally, our Framus museum will be opened Saturday and Sunday (September 8th and 9th), from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Here you’ll get in touch with the history of Framus guitars, which is rich in tradition, and experience the development of the different musical styles since the Second World War.
